Another Something Different...

Evening All!

Hope you're all good and you're enjoying the beautiful sunshine?!  It's been lovely hasn't it  :o)  It's my Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law-To-Be's Wedding this Saturday down in Brighton so hopefully the sunshine will last!!

Well I've been wanting to try it for ages and thought it's about time I did a.....LESS IS MORE card!  Yes I don't really do these as when I've attempted them in the past I always think there's 'something' missing, although I absolutely love this style and I'm in awe of those who do it sooooo well!  But I saw that this week over at Less is More it's a sketch so I thought I'd give it a go!  I've rotated it, hope that's ok?...

Something Different...

Morning All,

And a Happy Monday to you all.  I'm off shopping today as it's my Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law-To-Be's Wedding on Saturday so I'm hoping to get a new outfit for it.  Although seeing as I didn't get the job I shouldn't really be spending any money but I'm fed up so sod it!!  I probably won't find anything I like now anyway, always the way isn't it!!  Thank you all for your kind comments and for cheering me up about the job, I do believe that things happen for a reason and hopefully that reason will become clear soon, before my bank manager has a stress!

Monday morning means a new challenge over at Pollycraft and this week it's

TAGS & BOOKMARKS

Something different ay!  I thought I'd go for a Bookmark as I never have one and always have to turn the corner of my page over!  Not that I read much to be honest, but I do love a good book when I'm on holiday.  Here's my bookmark...

I used Cherry Kisses Tea in the 20's as she looks like she's relaxing on holiday in her sun hat with her cup of tea to me, although when I'm on holiday I prefer a stronger drink! ;o)  Here's her close up...

I made a flap style bookmark and used Papermania magnets on the insides to hold the bookmark in place over the page, here's the inside (the magnets are under the Kraft circle!)...

And finally a piccie of it flapped over my book.  Don't read too closely though, it's a Jackie Collins so there maybe some naughtiness going on!...

I haven't finished this book yet since our France holiday.....hmmm must crack on with it!  This week we're sponsored by...

The Crimson Cloud, so head over to Pollycraft and check out the prizes they're offering and also my talented teamies creations, they're all FAB-U-LOUS!!

Well we didn't make it to the cinema yesterday but instead had a lovely relaxing and restful day at home just chilling and catching up with sky+, love lazy days!  I hope to get some more bonus cards made this week so fingers crossed I'll see you all soon  :o)

Much love,

Coo-ee, me again!

Just a quickie to let you know that Sketch Saturday has a DT Call running at the moment so if you fancy being part of this amazing challenge blog, head over and read all about it!...

Bonus Card Time, wahoo!!

Morning All,

Thank you for your comments on my Wedding card yesterday and for all of you keeping your fingers and toes crossed for me.  Sadly I got a 'thanks but no thanks' letter in the post yesterday  :o((  You know sometimes I wonder why I bother trying to get off 'square 1', I always end up back there again!  Very disappointed, *sigh*...

Here's my bonus card I sneakily managed to make this week.  It's actually a commissioned card for my God Mum for a little Boy named Marley who turned one yesterday...

A close up of Jolly Nation's 'Mealtime'...

Cute huh?  I hope she likes it, and of course Marley too!

Daemo is actually home today, he's been working loads of weekends so it's lovely to have him home.  There was talk of us going to Bluewater to the cinema to watch the Inbetweeners but we'll see what happens...

Have a great Sunday all and I'll see you tomorrow with my Pollycraft creation.

Just like buses, two come along at once!!

Morning All!!

And Happy Saturday to you  :o))  How have your weeks been?  Good I hope?  I had a lot of comments on my Pollycraft post on Monday asking how my interview went (thanks for asking!).  I think it went well, but you never can tell can you?!  I was in there just short of 2 hours and I was also introduced to another of the bosses and shown around but I haven't heard anything since Monday.  I checked the company's website and the actual closing date is next Friday so maybe I won't hear anything until then?.....all this waiting is doing my head in, lol!  But what will be will be as they say, although I am keeping absolutely everything crossed!!

Onto my card and today's offering is my Sketch Saturday DT card.  Jo has created yet another brilliant sketch for us to play with this week and I thought the layout would be perfect for another Wedding card.....hence my post title as the last card I posted was also a Wedding card!  I made today's card for my Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law-To-Be who are getting married next Saturday, it's an 8" x 8" so lots of room for embellies!!  What do you think?...

I know it's purple and white again but that seems to be the colour combo everyone is going for this year, in fact all three weddings I've been invited to have chosen 'Cadbury Purple' as their colour!

A close up of Whiff of Joy's 'Wedding Cake'...

Inside of card, a bit boring I know but I was running out of Bazzill!!...

And a side view...

Here's this week's fabby sketch in all it's glory!...

And as it's the last Saturday in the month our regular sponsor is...

The Craft Barn who, as always, have generously donated a brilliant prize for the winner  :o))  Head over to Sketch Saturday and see all the deeeee-lish inspiration on offer from my talented teamies and play along too if you get a chance!!

Ok that's it from me today but I'll be back tomorrow with a bonus card that I found time to make!  Ooooo, I haven't made a bonus card for ages!  In fact, I think I made more cards when I was at work all week, lol!!

The quickest card ever!!

Morning All!

Or should I say afternoon, whoops!  I went out last night so had a bit of a lay in today, that's my excuse anyway lol!  I had a fab evening with the netball girlies, lots of fun, laughs, food and vino  :o))

So this week seems to have flown by again and even though I'm not working at the moment I still seem to be chasing my tail and there just aren't enough hours in the day!!  How does that work??!!  So my Sketch Saturday DT card today was the quickest card ever (sorry!) and I did cheat a bit in that I used a die cut image rather than stamping and colouring one.....what can I say, time just got away with me again!!

Here's my card...

and a side view...

Another Christmas card to add to the very small pile I currently have, lol!  But I'm getting ahead right?!  :o))  Here's this week's sketch...

This week we're sponsored by Bunny Zoe's Crafts...

So head over to Sketch Saturday and play along too for a chance to win the £10.00 gift voucher  :o)

I had a telephone interview on Tuesday, very nerve wracking but it seemed to go well and they've invited me in for a face to face interview on Monday!!  Fingers crossed for this one, the company seem really good and it's only about 10 miles from home too.  The telephone interview was with the actual boss (rather than HR) and we got on well so that was very positive.  Ooooo fingers crossed!!

Hope you're all good?
See you all soon,
Much love,

Baby Love.....My Baby Love.....

Morning All,

Before I get onto my post I just want to send a huge amount of love to those affected by 9/11.  It must've been on everyone's minds yesterday, it certainly was on mine.  Sadly one of those tragedy's where we can all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when it happened.  Much love to you all xxx

My card today is my Pollycraft DT card and this week the challenge is.....

BABY LOVE

.....and here's what I created.....

In the end I didn't go on the hen doo on Saturday, I was feeling pretty rubbish over the weekend so just had an easy one.  Thank goodness for Strictly to put a smile on my face, ooooo it has to be my FAVOURITE programme!!  I sooooo wish I could dance like that, they're amazing aren't they!!  Loving the partnerships too although I did have a mini heart attack when they teased us into thinking Artem was paired with Edwina - what a waste that would've been!!  Glad he got Holly, could be a definite contender there!!

Have a good day all, think I'll be busy looking for a job, wish me luck!!

Morning All!!

I hope you're all well and have had good weeks?  I'll get straight onto my card.....and then tell you all about last weeks hen doo!!

So today's card is my Sketch Saturday DT Card and I've made it for one of my friends whose birthday is next week.  We've known each other for 25 years OMG!!  Since birth of course, lol ;o)  Jo created a brilliant sketch for us to play with this week (thanks Jo!!) and here's my card, it had to be Tilda, I haven't played with her for AGES!!...

A close up of Charleston Tilda...

Inside of the card...

Ok, the hen doo!  Well, we had such a giggle!  It was an expensive night but in central London we knew it would be!  We had a Stretch Hummer take us up to London, honestly this thing was HUUUUUGE!!

We went to a gorgeous restaurant called Patterson's which is just off Regents Street.  The food was like a piece of art, it was amazing, they even put Gold Leaf in the dessert!!

After our meal we went to a bar (waaaaay out of my price range, £49.00 for four mojito's!!) and then onto Movida nightclub but it was getting near our home time by then and our feet were killing us!!  Lots and lots of fun  :o)  And today.....I have another hen doo to go on, lol!  But this time I'm only popping along for a few drinks and then home, my bank manager will be having a heart attack otherwise!!

Have a good weekend all and I'll see you soon  :o)
