Kids, kids and more kids!!

Morning All,

You know I said on one of my other posts how card themes are like buses and you always seem to need to make loads of the same type at the same time - loads of male cards, then loads of female ones etc.  Well now for me I need kids cards.....and lots of 'em!  So, here we go with the first one on the list and this one is for one of my Little Woo's friends at Pre-School, she's going to her birthday party on Sunday.....the kids have a way better social life than me lol!!

And another.....boy card!!

Morning All,

I'm back again with another.....Boy card!  Do your cards run in that order too, you need loads of boys and then you need loads of girls?!  I hope I'm not boring you all with all these boys lol!  I think it'll be a girl card next time, honest  ;o)

So here he is then.  I made this one for my Nephew who'll be 6 next month.  Yes, I'm super early but when I saw this image (another fab new release from Paula @ Pollycraft) I couldn't resist making him into a card now!  And my Little Man (who's also 6) loves drawing and making robots so I knew he'd be just perfect for my Nephew's card...

Happy Bank Holiday Monday to all of you living in the UK!  Hope you've all got something nice planned?  And to everyone not in the UK, hope you have a Happy Monday  :o)  I think we're going out in the garden today for a tidy up, and hopefully I'll have some crafting time later too!  It's amazing how quickly the bug has taken hold again lol!.....but I LOVE IT!!

Onto my card and today I'm sharing another brand spanking new image from Paula @ Pollycraft, this one is called 'Huge Thanks' and comes with a sentiment too.  I decided not to use the sentiment but instead made a belated birthday card - well how could you not accept an apology from this GORGEOUS Heffalump lol!!  Here he is...

It's been a while.....

Hello, do you remember me?!!

How many months have passed since my last post?!.....Too many that's how many lol!  But I feel now is the right time to get back to a bit of the 'old me' - BC Cazza (which means Before Children lol!).  The kids have been home for 10 months now and that's plenty long enough to get back to a bit of normality, and I've been feeling the creative 'neeeeed' for a few months now so have given myself a well needed kick up the backside to get on with it.....and here I am, wahooooo!  (but please be gentle with me!!)

So as I said earlier the kids have been home for 10 months now and what a 10 months!  Loads of fun, loads of learning (understatement!) and some tough times too but all in all an amazing time!  Hard going and absolutely knackering but now we can start to relax more as most of the foundations have been laid and we're all building on them.  They really are amazing kids and so happy which is all every parent wants ay.  Happy days  :o))  (well most of the time lol!)

So that's enough waffle, onto the serious stuff!  I've been catching up with blogger this past week and wow, what amazing inspiration you all are, I couldn't actually wait to get all my gear out and start playing again!  But I've done something a bit different for me, and something I'd like to do again (now time is at a premium!).....I've made a CAS card!!!  Shock horror!!!  And I really enjoyed it!!  What do you think?...

I made this for my cousins little boy who turned 2.  Spooky really as the last time I had a break from card making (when I smashed my wrist up) his was the first card I made after my cast was removed.  That card was to celebrate his birth though!

A close up...

A side view...

So what do you think, something different right?!  It was lots of fun so there may be a few more of this style popping up :o))

I have been making the odd card during my break and I'll get around to posting them too, now I'm back ha!  So I'll see you all soon...

Much love,
Cazza

Still Alive!...

Hello all!

Yes it's me Cazza, I am still alive honest!!  Apologies for just disappearing off the face of the earth back in.....March, gosh was it really that long ago since I posted?!  I hope I find you all well?  I'm also hoping that I'll be able to start getting back into crafting soon and at the very least I can catch up with you all here and see your gorgeous creations!  I need to get some inspiration and see what new purchases I need to buy from all the lovely goodies I've missed out on over the past 5 months!!

And the reason for my disappearance.....well life here has changed dramatically for me and Hubby.  I'm not sure if any of you remember me talking about our plans to adopt but for the past x weeks we've been the proud new parents of 2 little ones!  Yes our new children moved in and our lives have been turned completely upside down.....but in a good way!  We found out at the beginning of April that the 'match' was 90% certain so then the mad re-decorating and creating of 2 new bedrooms (and de-commissioning of 1 craft room!) started, then the furniture / bed buying, clothes, toys etc etc and what with working full time too it was just mad busy!!  We then went to 'Matching Panel' and had the match confirmed, I left my job on the Friday, met the children and started an intense introduction period the following Monday and they moved in on the Thursday the week after.  It's not been long at all really but already it feels like they've always belonged here, well most days it feels like that anyway ha ha!!  So we have a brother and sister sibling group, one of each, lovely!  It's been a massive learning curve for all of us and it's been very tough at times but I really feel like we've turned a little corner over the past couple of weeks and things have much improved.  Not that they were ever that bad, just the odd day really, but I guess the more we're getting to know each other the better it's getting.  Our little lad went to his new school just before they broke for half term in July and that was really good for all of us, for him so come September he'll be more settled and for us to have a taste of the school run, gosh all the walking I'm going to be doing I'll be super fit lol!  The children have been amazing and have settled sooooo well , they're eating and sleeping well and even the naughty stuff isn't really that naughty.....not yet anyway and I hope I haven't just jinxed myself lol!  They're just testing us and pushing the boundaries as all children do.  It's so far so good, I'm absolutely shattered but in a really, really good way!  :o))

So as for crafting, well I decided to leave all my Design Teams as I didn't think it was fair to take such a long break without knowing if I'd ever be able to get back to crafting again!  I really hope I will be able to but with no pressure I can do it as and when I can...and with 2 little ones who knows when that will be?!  I'm hoping to make a start on Christmas cards at some point...but we'll see what happens!  I've missed out on loads of new stash so I'll be checking out your blogs to see what gorgeous goodies are out there.  I hope everyone in blog land is well?

I'm afraid I can't share any piccies or much information on our little ones as obviously there's no way of restricting / limiting visitors on blogger to friends only.  But suffice to say their ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ha ha!  So I hope to be back soon to see you all and catch up with everything that's been happening with you all.  Until then, I'm off to bed for some much needed zzzzzz's!

Take care all,
Lots of love,
