Sketch Saturday :o)

Morning All!

I hope you're all well?  Did you see The Wedding yesterday?  Wow, what an absolutely wonderful day and didn't they both look so happy and relaxed.  Kate's dress was truly breathtaking, they make such a handsome couple don't they?  Hubby and I couldn't tear ourselves away from the TV and we both felt like the whole country had been lifted!  Such a magical day, Congratulations to William & Catherine, may you have many happy years together :o)) xxx

Ok, enough gushing (Weddings do that to me lol!) and onto this weeks Sketch Saturday challenge.  Jo has created another fabby sketch for you all to play along with, and without further a do here it is!...

Amongst all the love yesterday I had my hospital appointment to have my pins out, eeeek!  Well the top two were fine, although it felt a bit weird they were no problem at all coming out.  But the one under my thumb.....jeez that was bad and if the doctor had started with that one I would still have the top two in my arm!!  I knew the thumb one would hurt though as that was the one that had given me the most pain.  My bones had started to heal with the pin so the doc was working it from side to side and really yanking, when it finally came out there was such a force that blood was spurting all over the place!!  I couldn't watch him pulling it but hubby said it was about 3 inches long, yuk!  It's still hurting now but I'm so pleased they're out!!  So another 2 more weeks in a cast for me and then physio and hopefully I can gently return to normal life and CRAFTING wahoooo!!

Morning All!!

Apologies for not being around this week guys.  I had my stitches out last Friday and my wrist seems to be healing well, thank goodness  :o))  But all the fiddling around; removing the old cast, taking the stitches out, cleaning up around the pins and putting the new cast on left me in quite a bit of pain again over the weekend until about mid week  :o(  However since mid week it is definitely feeling a lot less painful and I've been able to massively reduce my pain relief, wahoo!!  So I hope to be about a lot more next week checking out all your fab creations  :o))

It was a bit of a shock when they removed the cast, I've got 3 massive pins (that actually look more like meat hooks to me!!) in my arm - two on the top of my arm and one in the side under my thumb.  It made me feel really queasy seeing them, honestly after all the medical procedures I've been through (and that's a fair few believe me!) it was a broken wrist that turned me into a complete jelly, lol!!  But the nurse was really kind looking after me and let me choose a new coloured cast to go back on and even put glitter on it for me too!!  So I'm now sporting a 'Dakota Blue' (Kings Hill Dakotas is the name of my netball team and we play in a blue netball kit) with loads of added glitter cast!!  Such a girl ay, lol!!

Hiya!!

Long time no speak I know and sadly no card to post today either but I thought I'd log on and give you all an update and tell you about this weeks sketch over at Sketch Saturday.  So, here it is...

Onto the update about my wrist.  I finally had my operation on Friday last week and had it pinned and wired back into it's correct position.  Gosh that was a drama in itself but I won't bore you with the details!!  Suffice to say I'm now still in quite a lot of pain and discomfort but at least I'm on the mend, wahoo!!  I'm missing my card making terribly so I am logging on as and when I can to see all your amazing creations but apologies if I've missed any commenting, depends on what kind of day I'm having (pain wise) as to whether I log on or not.  Bear with me and fingers crossed normal service will be resumed in about a month or so  *sigh*.  I hope you're all well?
