Sketch Saturday on a Monday!!

Evening all,

Well firstly I'm so sorry this post is so ridiculously late, I was sure I'd scheduled one for Saturday and when I realised I hadn't I planned to do it on Sunday after netball but had a bit of a disaster hence it's being posted now!!  And I'm afraid it's going to have to be a quick one as typing is slow progress, one handed and with my left hand, grrrr!!  So my disaster.....I went over at netball and have broken my wrist in two places, ouch!!  It was badly bent with bones pushing up other bones and needed manipulating (yanking!) in hospital, obviously after the co-codamols, morphine, anaesthetic, gas and air had all kicked in - can you tell I was in a lot of pain!  But sadly it's still not right so I'm going back to hospital tomorrow for an operation and to have it pinned.  Not looking forward to that but I'm in a lot of pain at the moment so hopefully it will ease when it's set properly!

Onto my card as this typing is taking too long!!  As I said earlier, this is my Sketch Saturday DT card...

Here's this week's fabby sketch...

And this week we're sponsored by The Craft Barn...

Hope you get the chance to join in too?

Ok I'm off to take some more pain killers  :o(  I'll be back soon to let you know how the op goes but sadly probably won't have a card to share for quite a while  :o(  I'm not a happy bunny!!

Take care all,

Take it Easy...

Afternoon All,

Well as I'm on here posting another card I think it's a safe bet to assume that I didn't manage to get much of my 'To Do' list done yesterday, lol!!  But I did really enjoy making this card and at the moment my life is all about having a little bit of fun - so it's all good!!  :o))  And I did do a couple of jobs yesterday, so a teeny weeny ickle dent was made in the list, just not really that noticeable a dent!!  But today is another day ay.....and 've been out for lunch with the girls, lol!!

Onto my card and this one I've made for my God Mothers Husband.  He's really got into his gardening since retiring so I thought this stamp was absolutely perfect!!

Hiya everyone,

Well as promised here is the card I made but didn't get a chance to post on Friday.  It's another craftwork cards 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 (so I ended up making two - one for sending and one for stash!)...

Yesterday I had a fab day at the Stitch and Craft Show at Olympia in London.  My friend Lisa Baker was demonstrating on the J & C Creations stand and rang me Friday night to ask if I would go up with them on Saturday to help out on the stand  :o))  I was only filling up the stock and helping out with general customer questions but it was so much fun - really hard work but fun too.  We didn't stop from 9:30am to 6pm, trying to stuff a sandwich down in between customers, lol!!  To put it mildly, I'm knackered today!!  And my very annoying cold seems to be finally coming out in full force too, thank goodness it's Sunday though ay and a day of rest ;o)

See you all soon guys, hope you're all well?

Tilda on Sketch Saturday!!

Morning All,

Happpppppyyyyyyyy Saturday, wahooooo!!  I hope you've all had good weeks and have something fabby planned for the weekend?  My week started a bit slowly, didn't really feel that great again on Monday or Tuesday so I've decided not to take anything for it (like Lemsip / Beechams / Actifed and all other types of this medicine) but let this cold or flu or whatever it is to just come out as I keep feeling rubbish and I'm sure all those medicines just suppress rather than kill off the germs!  Thursday I was really aching (but that might have something to do with the 2 games of netball and umpiring another 2 games of netball!) and yesterday I was sneezing and blowing my nose all day, ha ha that will teach me!!  Let's hope today is better!!

Onto my card and this week's Sketch Saturday DT card.  I've used Tilda again - another one I bought from the So Special range and haven't inked yet (naughty girl!).  I think she's sooooo pretty...

Close up of the pretty girl herself, lol!...

Here's this week's brilliant sketch, I loved this one Jo!!

And another one!!...

Evening All,

Well here I am again!!  I don't know - you don't hear from me all week and now it's twice in 2 days, lol!!  I must be feeling better ay  ;o)

I've made a really quick Mans card (in fact I ended up making 2!!) as I thought I'd make some 'stash' cards for those last minute nights out!!  I've been caught out a couple of times now where I've had to get the most manliest girlie card I have, rip the flowers off and stick buttons on, lol!!  So here's the first of my 'Man Stash' cards!!...

Close up of Pollycraft's 'Beer Monster'...

The card blank I've used is a Craftwork Cards 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" so not a massive card, but perfect size for a stash card.  And obviously men's cards don't need too many embellishments do they - a bit of doodling, a button and you're done!!  :o))

Right, time to do a bit of catching up on your blogs now before I get ready and settle down for one of my all time favourite TV programmes which is back tonight but sadly for the very last series  :o(  I'm talking of course about the brilliant Waking the Dead - I looooooove it!!

See you soon peeps,
Much love,

Another first for me!!

Afternoon all,

I hope you're all well?  Bit grey today isn't it, but I guess that's the perfect excuse to stay in and make cards all day ay!!  I had such a fab day yesterday at Bluewater with my Sister-In-Law, Nephew, Niece and Father-In-Law.  We had a delicious lunch in Ed's Diner which is like a 1950's burger bar but the food is absolutely yummmmy!!  Then we went to the cinema and watched Rango - it was ok, some funny parts but not the best film I've seen.  Think we should've gone for Tangled instead but nevermind!  And then we went to the new Cadbury's Coco House for hot chocolate, what a treat!!  They do afternoon tea, cakes, sundae's, all sorts of yummyness but we were still stuffed from Ed's so just had hot chocolates.  Poor Fred (F-I-L) ended up having a coke spilt all over him which Lucy (S-I-L) and I found hilarious!!  Fred did giggle too so that was ok and we got the cokes for free, lol!!  A really great day  :o)

Onto my card, this one I've made for my Uncle and as the title suggests it's the first time I've ever made a get well soon card.  My Uncle has just had his prostrate removed as he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer just before Christmas.  Fingers crossed the docs have caught everything in time and he will only need a little radiotherapy.  My Uncle is certainly feeling very positive about it all so that's a good sign.  Here's my card...

It's a bit girlie isn't it, but I hope he likes it and it puts a smile on his face.  I did try to 'Man it up' with the brown but I couldn't resist the pink - the colours just go soooo well together don't they?!!  And the big flowers were a new die I bought at the Farnborough Craft Show that I haven't used yet, they were burning a hole in die box let me tell you, lol!!

Ok, off to make another card now  :o))

See you soon guys,
Much love,

A first for me...

Morning All,

Happy Saturday everyone  :o)  Hope you're all well and have had a good week?  Mine's been a bit rubbish, I've not really felt my best and that resulted in NO CRAFTING AT ALL!!  Not good is it, especially when I had loads of time this week to make lots!!  But I'm feeling better today so here's to a full week of card making ahead!!  :o))

As it's Saturday that can mean only one thing - Sketch Saturday!!  This week (as the title suggests!) is the first time I'm using a Greeting Farm stamp.  I really love their stamps but have never got around to purchase any, until now that is!  Although I actually bought this stamp (which is a double stamp) for the little boy rather than the girl I've used today, must've known I needed her too ay, lol!  Anyway, enough waffle, here's my card...
