Back To School

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Oooo, I do love Lazy Sundays, especially after a busy week - you just can't beat them can you!! I went to The Glitter Pot 's Christmas Craft Extravaganza yesterday with my Mum and good friend / Craft Tutor / Mentor/ Demonstrator / Absolute Legend Lisa Baker. We were out bright and early and went for a lovely cooked breakfast (courtesy of Sainsburys!) then hit the road to Shop until we Dropped, lol! There were some great demonstrators there, Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards and Kay Carley to name but a few. If you ever get to see Kay Carley anywhere do snap the opportunity up, her colouring is just A-MAZ-ING!!! My Mum and I booked up to attend Kay's Tutorials at the Glitter Pot in October and I really can't wait!! Lisa wanted to come too but she is on her hols so can't make it :o( I think Kay is also Tutoring in December too so we'll probably go along to that one too, can't get enough, lol!

So, onto my card. Apologies I didn't get around to posting it yesterday, the plan was to get out and back early.....yeah right!! Craft shopping and coming home early just don't go together in the same sentence do they, lol!! But better late than never here's my card, my FIRST CARD AS A SKETCH SATURDAY DT MEMBER, whoop whooooooooooop!!

Close up of Tilda With Slate and School Desk, both coloured with my Copics and Derwent Coloursoft pencils...

Inside of card...

Do head over to Sketch Saturday to check out my other very talented DT Member cards, they're all absolutely gorgeous! And while you're there why not enter this weeks challenge, #119 sponsored by Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
The backing paper I've used is Lilac Gingham by Craft Creations Ltd, layered onto Bazzill Card. As it's a 1st Day at School card I thought I'd use some lined note paper instead of more DP which I used my MS Scallop Dot border punch on. The Organza ribbon was from my stash and the pearl gems are Opal Line from Basic Grey. The flowers are Prima and the buttons are Papermania. I've used my Nesties, Woodware Leaf punch, paper clips and Glamour Dust.
Daemo (Hubby!) wasn't sure about the paper clips. He thought that a little ruler or pencil would look better but the only ruler and pencil stamps I had were waaaaay too big. SHRINK PLASTIC!!!! Why didn't I think of that before, lol!
I'm going to enter this card in Just Magnolia Challenge Blog, Week 71 - Anything Goes.
That's it from me for now, Columbo is on in a min and then there's X-Factor (from last night but I missed it!) followed by James Bond - perfect Sunday viewing, lol!!
Lots of love,
xxx
