Baking Birthday Tilda!

Hi all,

It's been toooo long I know! Unfortunately I have been really busy at work and have the VAT (boring!) to do for Daemo so although I've made some cards I haven't had a spare minute to post them yet. But I'm posting them now, and then finishing off the VAT - a girl has to get her priorities right aye! lol. So here we go with the first card. I hope you like it?...

I made this card for a friend of my God Mum's, my first commissioned card! Norma (the lady the card was commissioned for) loves cooking, especially cakes, so when I saw this stamp I had to use it as I knew it would be perfect! I'm going to enter it in the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog - Week 15, A Sketch by Tab so wish me luck! The last time I entered the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog I received some fantastic comments from the design team, and that really made my day! What do you think?

Primp!

Here's the final card I made this weekend. It's for my God Mum who has just spent the weekend with my Mum at a spa, so I thought the 'Primp' stamp from Penny Black would be perfect! I'm also going to enter this card in the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, Week 58 - Soft & Sweet I think it's really sweet!

Card ingredients are:

Image - Penny Black Primp

Charm - PM Clare Curd Signature Range Clear Stamps Doodles flower

Papers - Doodlebug Pink Lemonade Plaid and Berry Pink

Card - Core 'dinations Celery Stick and Doodlebug Lily White Sugar Coated

Shrink Plastic - Shrinkies White Shrink Plastic

Sentiment - Oh My Word! Flower Messages

Brads & Gems - Doodlebug Strawberry Brad and Jewels

Ribbon - From stash

Tools - Martha Stewart Glitter and Doily Lace Border Punch, Nesties Standard Circle and Scallop Circle

I created a charm for this card, the first time I've ever created a charm but I think it turned out ok. I stamped the flower onto the white shrink plastic, coloured it and shrunk it. Then attached the rings and added a hot pink jewel for the middle of the flower. I'm really pleased with it and I think you'll be seeing a lot more charms on my cards in the future!!

I have more cards to make next weekend so pop back and check out my blog soon. Until then, have a fab week :o)

Lots of love,

Fitness Man

Here we are then with the second birthday card I made this weekend. This time it's for a friend of mine at work, who goes to the gym every lunch hour, hence it's Jolly Nation's 'Fitness Man'. What do you think?

Card Ingredients are:

Image - Jolly Nation 'Fitness Man' Decoupage sheet

Papers - Sandy Lion 'Upper Deck' and 'Cruise Director'

Card - Core 'dinations 'Raspberry' and The Paper Company 'White Ice' Shimmer card

Sentiment - Oh My Word! 'Birthday Circles'

Tools - Woodware Big Circle Punch and Regular Corner Rounder, Fine Liner

I used the same papers for this and the aeroplane card as the colours worked with both images. I wanted to make them a little different though so I switched them around for each card.

Now onto the third card...

I have three cards to publish this evening, yes I've been busy this weekend! The first is a birthday card I made for my cousin, who's a pilot for British Airways, so I hope he likes his card. What do you think, do you think he will?...

Goodies!...

Hi all,

I'm sooooo excitied!! I ordered some goodies from Sir Stampalot yesterday in the hope that they would arrive today. I didn't hear anything from them so just assumed that they would be delivered next week..........and then they arrived, wahoo!! What a fantastic service Sir Stampalot offer and such a huge range of goodies too, they're definately in the top websites I use to buy my craft goodies, and I buy tonnes!! I ordered two Martha Stewart punches, 'Embossed Snowflake' and 'Doily Lace', and the 'Smart Guy' alphabet die set from Sizzix. I can't wait to use them. I also subscribed to Papercraft Inspirations as the free gift they offered last month was a '24 piece set of Martha Stewart Glitters' and guess what..........they arrived today too!! Whoop whoop!! Can you tell I'm excitied or what! And my August issue of 'Cardmaking & Papercraft' was also delivered which features my very special friend and tutor Lisa Baker, who won 'National Card Maker of the Year' last year. The sun is shining and I am off to the haridressers soon (being pampered, something else I love!) then visiting my gorgeous Niece, Nephews, Sister-In-Law and Brother-In-Law later on..........today is definately going to be a good day...
