Pretty in Pink!

Hiya!

Hope you're all good and, for my UK followers, you enjoyed the bank holiday yesterday?  My Father-In-Law came down so we had a family day at my Sister-In-Laws  :o)  It was meant to be a BBQ at ours but the weather wasn't great, surprise surprise, lol!

Before I post today's card I was really chuffed to find out that my bicycle card made Top 3 over at Pollycraft, wahoo!!  Thank you ladies for choosing me  :o))

Today's card is one I made for my cousins daughter.....what does that make her, my second cousin?  Not sure, let's stick with my cousins daughter lol!  All pink and girly and had to be LOTV ay!!  Here it is...

Not much planned for me today, need to do some sorting out at home going through wardrobes and the like.  Then I need to get my butt into gear and update my CV to start looking for a job *groan*!!  Hubby keeps saying the dreaded j word a lot now, especially since I've been able to drive (potter to the supermarket!) in the last few days.  Not looking forward to going back to work at all but hopefully it'll be better in a new company, sigh...

See you soon peeps,
Much love,

Afternoon all!

I hope you're all good?  Gosh I've had such a busy card making week, so busy in fact that I didn't have time to post anything!  So expect a barrage of cards this week, lol!  Starting with this one that I made for our friends son whose birthday was yesterday.  I love this Pollycraft digi and he looks just like Ben, perfect for his card!...

And a side view...

We didn't go to Ben's birthday party yesterday as we had a wedding to go to, oooooo I do love a good wedding!!  It was our Brother-In-Law's brother who got married and it was  such a beautiful day.  The bride and groom looked stunning and the venue was a very grand hotel, the flowers were absolutely gorgeous.  They had a Cadbury purple colour scheme, that seems to be the in colour at the moment doesn't it, stunning!  Here's a couple of pics of the day...

The new Mr & Mrs Jarvis, awwwww!

Stunning flowers...

Me and Hubby...

Man am I tired today though, I don't think I left the dance floor once the DJ started, lol!!  But that's what a good wedding is all about ay, lots of love, lots of laughs, good food and drink, fantastic company and plenty of dodgy dancing - such a wicked day!  :o)

Much love,

Sketch Saturday 3 Year Blogoversary!!

Morning All,

Well as the title suggests today is Sketch Saturday's 3 Year Blogoversary, wahoo!!  Happy Birthday to us, Happy Birthday to us.....  And to celebrate this the DT have all made a gift bag / box / wallet using this weeks sketch with some lovely lush candy inside to give away to our loyal Sketch Saturday participants!  So if you play along this week not only do you have a chance of winning on the Sketch Saturday blog but you also have a chance of winning the mystery candy from the DT too - cool huh!  Ooooo I do love a celebration!!  This week we're sponsored by...

...The Craft Barn who have donated a MAHOOSIVE prize - a goody bag to the value of £50.00!!  (Yes that's, FIFTY WHOLE POUNDS!!)  Wow, wow, WOW  :o))  I wish I could enter myself, lol!!  But sadly only one lucky person will win and if that isn't you you could always pop along to The Craft Barn's June Extravaganza Weekend on Saturday 5th June - Sunday 6th June where there will be FREE demos by 24 Demonstrators with a theme of 'The Best of British' featuring designers and demonstrators from the UK and wherever possible promoting products manufactured in the UK.  For more information, please click here!!

Here's this weeks sketch...

And here's my gift bag using this weeks sketch!  I have to say I was very scared about making a gift bag as I have never made one before but a quick search on the net to get measurements and I was away!.....and I really enjoyed it!  Hubby was so impressed he thought I'd bought it!!...

Close up of LOTV 'I Baked a Cake'.  I didn't stamp and colour but used one of their die cut sheets as my gift bag is 10" x 9" so a normal stamped image would look way too small.  This was the biggest one of the die cut sheet and I used a circle template to cut her out.  It made a change not to colour!...

And here's a side view...

Look forward to seeing you over at Sketch Saturday and back here too if you want to win my gift bag and candy!  To enter:

1.  Create a card using this weeks sketch
2.  Enter your card at Sketch Saturday
3.  Leave me a comment with a link to your entry (not your blog!) BEFORE 8am ON FRIDAY 3rd JUNE 2011.  Comments left after 8am on 3rd June will not be valid for my blog candy but can still enter at Sketch Saturday.

Easy Peasy!  Hope to see you celebrating with us  :o)

Much love,

Butterflies and Tilda - a perfect combination!

Hiya!

Hope you all had good weekends and enjoyed the sun? Looks like it's going to get a bit colder over the next few days  :o(  But at least with it being a bit cooler it gives us a good excuse to stay in and make cards, lol!!

Me and Mum had a fab day on Saturday and met up with Lisa, Pami and Sarah. The LOTV Colouring Masterclass course was so much fun and a good excuse to play all day (and get away with it!) I learnt some top tips too and couldn't wait to start colouring when I got in, although by then my wrist was a bit sore!!  :o)  Hubby and I had a lovely anniversary meal Saturday night and a long drive home so I could sit in my new car lol!! Even though I haven't driven it yet, I am missing it!! I might have a little drive today though, we've both got the hairdressers later (I love going to the hairdressers!) and then we're popping up to Bluewater as we have a wedding this weekend and haven't got anything to wear yet! Hubby needs a new suit and, well it's just an excuse for us girls to get something new ay!!

So onto my card and this one I've made for my good friend and craft teacher Lisa Baker. I haven't gotten around to inking up some of my new Tilda's yet so thought I'd have a play with them! Gosh the pressure of making a card for your craft teacher, lol!! What do you think?

Sketch Saturday #155 - I'm baaaaaaaaack!!

Morning All!!

And am I glad to see you all today, wahoo!!  The sun is shining down here in Kent and I am in suuuuuuch a brilliant mood!!  Yesterday was Friday the 13th but for me it was a fantastic day  :o)  Hubby and I went and viewed a new car for me on Wednesday.....and we picked it up yesterday yaaaaaay!!  Not that I've had the chance to drive it yet but sitting in the passenger seat being chauffeured knowing it was my car was fab!!  Can't wait to drive it  :o))  Then on the way home we popped into Mum and Dad's to show them the car.....and ended up booking a holiday!!  Nothing major but we're all (including my bro) going to the Isle of Wight for 3 nights next month  :o))  And then in the afternoon I had my hospital appointment where.....I HAD MY CAST OFF WHOOP WHOOOOOOOP!!  Maaaaan that was such a long 7 seven weeks let me tell you!  My arm now feels very weird but I'm getting used to being cast free.  I still can't move my wrist much at all and it's still quite swollen but I have physio in a couple weeks to sort that all out  :o))  It looks horrible and waif like with 3 very sore looking wounds but I slept so well last night without the cast on - on the road to recovery at last yipeeeeee  :o))

So enough of me going on (sorry!) and onto this weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday - one I've actually been able to join in with wahoooo!!  I made this with the cast still on, it took about 2 days lol but felt sooooo good to make something - I couldn't leave my spangly new craft room you see!!  So, here it is - please ignore any colouring over the lines, as I said I was still in my cast!!...

My New Craft Room ( / office!)

Morning All,

I hope you're all well and had lovely weekends?  Mine was quite a quiet one but lovely all the same!  :o)

So, while I've been out of action with my broken wrist I had to have something nice to focus on (before I went completely mad!) which was.....MY NEW CRAFT ROOM / office!!!  I think Hubby must've felt a bit sorry for me as he gave me the green light to plan it out to my heart's content and even painted it all last weekend too :o))  It's all painted in white with the colour coming from my accessories but he painted it all, put up shelves, cleared it all out and moved it all back in...what a star ay!  And here it is, in all it's lovely shiny new glory!!...

Looking in through the door...

Close up of my desk...

All my Copics (yummy!) all organised!!  The rail and pots were from Ikea, talk about bargain - the rail was £2 something and the pots were 50p each so the whole thing cost about £7!!...

A taller shot of my desk, can you see my lovely posh storage cases!!...

The other side of my room, all my stash and more posh storage!!...

My window sill / button storage!!  These jars were also from Ikea and cost £2 something for 4, another bargain - don't you love Ikea, lol!!...

Next to my desk behind the door (the office bit, well one of the cupboards is full of 'work' folders and the other one has the bottom draw for 'work' stuff but the top two for more crafty bits!!)  Can you see my other posh storage...

Close up of my posh storage boxes - the right hand shelf...

Close up of my posh storage boxes - the left hand shelf...

Close up of the box itself, aren't they pretty!!  Another bargain from TK Maxx.  These 2 were £10.99 each, the biggest square case was £7.99 (on the left hand shelf) and the smallest square case was £5.99 (on the right hand shelf).  The cases are currently empty, but I'm sure it won't be long until they're rammed with something lovely!!...

Inside the big boxes!  All my ribbons are now on Ribbon Rings and organised  :o))  This is my girlie box; pinks, reds, blacks and whites etc...

And this is my Boy box; blues, purples, greens and browns etc...

These posh storage boxes were from Next and match the curtains and light shade.  They were £15 for all 3...

...and store all my Wild Orchid Craft flowers!!...

Here's my racking housing all my Really Useful Boxes full of stamps and other goodies!!  Can you believe I only have 1 empty box in among all these, lol!!...

Another view of my boxes.  Not a very good picture actually (sorry) but the top of the racking is solid so can double as my work bench for my Cricut Machine (on the left) and my big shot (on the right) which I've cleverly managed to chop in half in the piccie, lol!!  Can you spot the empty box?...

Isn't it lovely??  I'm never going to want to leave it, lol!!  I'm pretty sure once my cast is off it will never look this tidy again but at least I have these piccies to drool over, lol!!  Hubby was so impressed with it he even started calling it 'his room'!!  I don't think so, lol!!  I love it and really can't wait to get in and START CRAFTING!!

See you all soon guys, now to get the rest of the house this organised!!...
Much love,
