Papertake Weekly GDT!!

Hiya Everyone!

I hope you're all having a fab Christmas?  I do love this time of year, although it can be very stressful in the run up to it it's so nice spending time with your loved ones.  And even though there were some sad moments thinking of those that are no longer with us, on the whole this year was a Happy Christmas  :o)  How nice it is now in the aftermath being able to fully chill out and make plans for the coming year too - all these plans with so little time lol!!

So, onto pressies - what did you get, what did you get??  I was completely spoiled and Hubby bought me a new super duper turbo power Hairdryer, bass boosting earphones for my iPhone and.....wait for it.....(so spoilt!).....a.....

CRICUT CREATE ELECTRONIC CUTTING MACHINE!!!!!

Wow, wow and wow again - how happy was I Christmas morning when I got to have a little play!!  I absolutely love it already and only have the one cartridge so far, lol!  Although I did get on eBay last night and order a couple more, shhhhhhh - can't wait for them to arrive so I can play some more!!  :o))  Very, very happy!!

Right, enough waffle and onto my card.  And yes, I think the title gave it away but I am, for this week, a GDT member for PAPERTAKE WEEKLY , wahooooooooo!!  See I told you I was having a Happy Christmas!!  I love this challenge blog, there's such a good mix of challenges - sketches, themes, colours, recipes etc.  I always try to play along when time allows me too so to be chosen as a GDT member was an absolute honour - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!  :o))

This week the challenge is Be Thankful - very apt at this time of year don't you think!  And here is my Thank You card...

All Done.....at last (part four!)

Hiya!

It's Christmas Eve!!!  Wow can you believe how quickly that has come around?  I hope all your Christmas plans are going well and you're not too stressed out!!

Today is my final post of the Christmas cards I've made this year.  They're all very simple cards and have been made using Craftwork Cards 5" x 5" scalloped card bases.  Using this size card you can actually make 4 cards out of one 12" x 12" paper and backing card which is great when you have several cards to make!  So without further a do, here's the Lili of the Valley cards.....all 5 of them!

I absolutely LOVE all these stamps - just soooooooo cute!!

Ok, I'd better get on, lots to do today!  So all that's left is to wish you all a great Christmas Eve and an even better Christmas Day!  Enjoy, eat lots and be merry, lol!!

Lots of Festive Love,

Thought I'd done them all!

Coo-ee!!

Me again with my second post today - wow time off work really suits me, lol!  Here is another Christmas Card, this one is more of a special one though that I've made for my Mum, Dad and Bro.  What do you think?...

Close up of Penny Black's 'Ski Patrol' stamp...

Inside of card, sentiment stamp is also Penny Black...

Side view, I stamped the image twice and sticky fixed the mice and cats to give the image some dimension...

I chose this stamp for their card as it had 5 characters on it - Mum, Dad, Bro, Me and Daemo.....I'll let you decide who is who, lol!

See you soon peeps,
Much love,

All Done.....at last (part three!)

Morning All,

Here I am this morning with the Wild Rose Studio Christmas cards I've made.  As I said yesterday, by using the 5" x 5" Craftwork Cards scalloped card bases you can actually make 4 cards per 1 sheet of 12" x 12" paper and backing card - a bit repetitive but makes getting the job soooooo easy!!  They're all very simple Christmas Cards this year, but I think you can get away with simple cards at Christmas ay, and with the card bases not being so big there's not a lot of room for embellishments anyway!  Here they are...

Aren't they cute!!!  Especially Milton with the robin, love this stamp!!

Pop back tomorrow for the final installment - 5 different Lili of the Valley cards!!

Lots of love,

All Done.....at last (part two!)

Hiya!

And as promised yesterday here are some more Christmas cards I've made (and finally finished at long last!!).  Today I'm sharing the Elzybells ones and as I said yesterday, by using the 5" x 5" Craftwork Cards scalloped card bases you can actually make 4 cards per 1 sheet of 12" x 12" paper and backing card - good huh!  So, here they are...

Pop back tomorrow to see the Wild Rose Studio cards...

All Done.....at last (part one!)

Evening All,

I hope you're all well?  We've had quite a lot of snow here over the last couple of days, none so far today though so maybe I'll be able to get out tomorrow!  To be honest I probably could've gone out today but I don't really like driving in the snow, especially if I don't have too and as I've booked this week and next off work I may aswell stay in, lol!!

Onto my card and yep you've guessed it.....I have FINALLY finished my Christmas cards, yaaaaaaaay!!  God that was a hard slog!!  I'm going to set myself a task of making 4 a month next year so that I don't have the mad rush in December trying to get them made before the last post!!  Anyway, I've used Craftwork Cards 5" x 5" scalloped base cards and you can make 4 cards per 1 sheet of 12" x 12" paper and backing card, so that's what I've done hence the 4 per month plan for next year!  They're very simple cards and I've used stamps from Hero Arts, Elzybells, Wild Rose Studio and Lily of the Valley.  The card I'm sharing tonight is the Hero Arts one...

Told you they were simple!  I'll show you some more tomorrow but until then, have a fab evening everyone  :o)

Hubby's Christmas Card!

Hi All,

Gosh I'm really late with my post today, sorry everyone.  I was at the hairdressers this morning, then whilst there we had a massive helping of snow - I couldn't believe how hard it came down.  We had just under a foot of it in less than 2 hours!!  Both hubby and I were out tonight, him with the footie boys and me with the netball girlies but both doos have been cancelled due to the weather  :o(  But on the plus side it's the Strictly Final, whoop whooooooop!!  Go Kara, Go Kara, Go Kara!!...  Can you tell who I'm routing for!!

Onto my card and this is my Christmas Card for Daemo, aaawwwwww!!  It's also my Sketch Saturday DT card this week and what a fab sketch Jo has created for us.  Here's my card...

Still No Netball!!!

Hi all,

Hope you're all good and managed to survive another Monday!!  Can you tell I've had a bad day, lol?  But only 3 and half more days to go and I'm off work again until the new year, yessssssssssssssssss!!

But enough about work and onto my card.  This one I've made for my friend Steph (aka Stepharoony!) who's even more of a netball nutter than me!!  We've not been able to play recently as some toe-rag stole the copper wire out of the flood lights and then the snow last week stopped play so no netball until the new year now.  As I was looking through my stamps I saw Sugar Nellie's 'Little Miss Attitude' and thought she'd be perfect, lol - what do you think?

Birthday Kitty!!

Evening All,

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend?  I had a great day yesterday - really lazy and spent most of it crafting, yaaaaaaaay!!  Then today hubby and I were up and out early (well out by 10:30!) into town to start our Christmas shopping - I know we're very late starting and I was starting to panic but we got nearly all of it done  :o)  So I can stop panicking now and only need to get a couple more pressies, phew!  Now to crack on with the Christmas cards, lol...

My card tonight I've made for my Sister-In-Law (to be!) who loves her cats so it had to be Wild Rose Studios Kitty with Cake!!  What do you think?...

Cheeky Monkey!

Morning All,

Well I'm not as excited about it being Saturday as normal today, mainly because I had last week off work so everyday has felt like Saturday, lol!  We had a great week away in Center Parcs, Long Leat with our Nephews, Niece, Sister-In-Law and Father-In-Law - lots of walking, swimming (for the boys, too cold for me!) bowling, cheer leading (lol!), magic shows, birthdays etc., etc.,!  I feel shattered today and have had a sore throat all week which was really annoying!!  Why do we always get ill on holidays??  Anyways, a good time was had by all.

But a holiday means not a lot of crafting was done - I did take some stamped images with me and did a little bit of colouring but not a lot!  So I made my DT Card for Sketch Saturday before I went away.  I've made it for my cousin's son, Ashton, who was 2 last week - a real Cheeky Monkey!!  But sooooo adorably cute too!

Ok, I'm off now and have sooooo much to do!  I still have all my Christmas Cards to make, a couple of birthday cards and I haven't even started on the Christmas Shopping yet - I wonder what it's like to be organised, lol!!

Have a great weekend all and see you soon,
Much love,
