One down, one to go...

Evening All,

Yes I'm sooooo close to finishing my Christmas cards I can almost taste it, lol!!  Especially as I know exactly what I'm going to make for my last one (pretty similar to this one, lol!).  Hopefully I can get started on it later and finish it off tomorrow, phew!  But I'm jumping ahead, here's my penultimate Christmas card (yaaaaay!) and this one is for my Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law who got married in October.  I thought this image was perfect!...

A close up of Digistamp Boutique's 'Alex & Felicity with Mistletoe' (although on my card it's Michael & Angie' lol!)...

Digistamp Boutique plays Netball!!

Evening All,

Well what a horrible day!!  The weather has been rubbish all day here, dark, grey and wet  :o(  And I'm off to netball in an hour, soooooo gonna have to wrap up warm tonight!!

My card I'm posting today I made for one of my netball team mates.  When we score 40 goals or more in a game I buy the girls a bar of choccie and recently we have had a run of high scoring games so when I was looking for inspiration for V's card I came across Digistamp Boutique's 'Zoe love Chocolate!' and thought it would be perfect!!  And she even looks like she could be wearing a netball kit!!  So I've coloured her in in our team colours of navy (and black skins when it's freezing!!) although I did give her red shoes!!  Oh well, netball trainers come in all sorts of colours, lol!!  What do you think?...

A Cheeky Wedding Card!

Evening All,

I hope you're all well?  Super quick post from me today - my goodness I don't seem to have any spare time at all this week!  I'm off to netball in a minute but just wanted to post this card so that you don't think I've disappeared off the face of the earth, lol!  I made, as the title suggests, a cheeky little Wedding Card.  I won last month over on DigiStamp Boutique (yaaaaaaaaay!) and got to choose 5 digi's and this was one of them!  I didn't know at the time that I would be using it so quickly, lol!  Anyways, as per I was running out of time so I made a 5' x 5' shaker card and used confetti as the 'shaker' ingredients.  I think the image and paper do all the talking so didn't feel it needed anything more than that really - what do you think?

All shook up!...

Cheeky Monkey!

Morning All,

Well I'm not as excited about it being Saturday as normal today, mainly because I had last week off work so everyday has felt like Saturday, lol!  We had a great week away in Center Parcs, Long Leat with our Nephews, Niece, Sister-In-Law and Father-In-Law - lots of walking, swimming (for the boys, too cold for me!) bowling, cheer leading (lol!), magic shows, birthdays etc., etc.,!  I feel shattered today and have had a sore throat all week which was really annoying!!  Why do we always get ill on holidays??  Anyways, a good time was had by all.

But a holiday means not a lot of crafting was done - I did take some stamped images with me and did a little bit of colouring but not a lot!  So I made my DT Card for Sketch Saturday before I went away.  I've made it for my cousin's son, Ashton, who was 2 last week - a real Cheeky Monkey!!  But sooooo adorably cute too!

Have a great weekend all and see you soon,

Sketch Saturday Week #129

Morning All,

You must be sooooo bored of me saying it, but I'm going to anyway!...
...YAAAAAAYYYYYY IT'S SATURDAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!
I so love the weekends!!  And this weekend I have some time to craft too, wahoo!!  Well hopefully anyway!!  That's the plan at the moment along with a night out with our best friends tonight and seeing the family tomorrow, oh and a bit of paperwork too, lol!  It's all go isn't it!!

This week has been very busy but also AMAZING for Daemo (hubby) and I and we made a massive step forward with our dream!  If you've read my 'About Me' blurb in the side bar you'll have read that my story into crafting is a very sad one, in that I got into it following our sons stillbirth.  Well the sad times didn't stop there and as it turned out we also discovered due to my very rare blood disorder that Harrison was our one and only chance of having our own child.  And although this was God's will, we still desperately want to become parents!  So our new dream was Adoption which we first investigated and enquired about almost 2 years ago now.  Well this week we made our first step and were invited on a 'Motivation to Adopt' day, which was absolutely BRILLIANT!!  We met some amazing people in similar situations to ours and for once felt relatively normal, lol!  We learnt so much and it really confirmed our thoughts not to give up, that this was most definitely the way forward for us.  Soooooo exciting!!  Fingers crossed we get through to the next stage, we can't wait!!...  :o)))

Onto my card and this week I had an order for an Engagement Card so I tied this in with my Sketch Saturday DT Card and this little beauty was created!  What do you think?...

Close up of Digi Stamp Boutique's Cute Love Birds.  I've sticky fixed them up onto the nestie for a 3D effect...

My friend Maria who ordered the card wanted it for her brother, she was over the moon with it  :o)

This was the fab sketch we followed this week...

And our very generous sponsor of a $25.00 gift certificate is...

How generous!!  So why not join in the fun too?  And you should definitely check out the DT Cards this week - what a talented bunch they are!!

Ok I'm sure that's quite enough of me going on, lol!  Have a fab weekend everyone and I'll see you all again soon  :o)

Much love,

Snoozing on the sofa!

Hi ya!

Well I had a fab day Saturday at The Glitter Pot with Kay Carley, we made 4 cards (although only had time to colour 2!) and I learnt loads!  It was also a really nice change to make cards without using Designer Backing Papers but by stamping onto and embossing Bazzill card instead.  I had soooooo much fun, and of course I had to buy some goodies too, lol!

My card tonight is one I made for one of my work colleagues.  Whenever he has some time off work he always says he spends it laying on the sofa eating crisps so as soon as I saw DigiStamp Boutiques' Snoozing Chap I knew this was the perfect image for my card!  I have altered it a little and changed the newspaper to a giant packet of crisps - he he he, Steve loved it!!

Close up (sorry it's a bit blurry!)...

I didn't decorate the inside as the rest of the team needed to sign it!  And the side view piccie was really blurred but I did 3D the snoozing chap - honest!!

Fly me to the moon...

Evening All,
Hope you're all well? Did any of you endure the England match earlier tonight?.....Pure torture for all fans!! Come on England, you can play better than that!
Moan over, onto the card! This one I made for one of my colleagues who left for a new job on Wednesday. I work for a company called Jupiter, so I thought this image from Digi Stamp Boutique was perfect!! What do you think?...
Close up of Digi Stamp Boutique's Alien Space Ship image, coloured with my copics...

Inside of card, Blast Off rocket image also downloaded from Digi Stamp Boutique and coloured with copics...

The backing paper is Fun in the Sun Stripe by Doodlebug and Happy Day by SEI. Both are layered onto Core d'inations backing card, I've added Card Candy from Craftwork Cards and the pearl gems are Opaline by Basic Grey, I've also added Googly eyes to the Alien and Glamour Dust for extra bling! The Turtle brads on the inside of the card are also from Doodlebug. You're probably thinking they're a bit random for a leaving card by Jon (my colleague) has 2 turtles so I had incorporate them somehow!
I'm entering this card into two challenges:
Time for bedtime now so I'll catch up with you all over the weekend. Until then, ta ta for now!
