Happy Birthday Daddykins!!

Morning All!

And a Happy Saturday to you all  :o)  I hope you've had good weeks?  Mine has been another hectic one (again!), hence no cards posted this week  :o(  I've been busy making them though honest, lol!  Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and today I'm sharing the card I made him using this week's fabby sketch at Sketch Saturday (thanks Jo, you rock!!).  We went out last night for a birthday curry, yummmmmm it was loooooverly!!  Mum bought Dad a little cake and the waiter put a massive sparkler in it and dimmed the lights and sang Happy Birthday, not too embarrassing for your 61st birthday ay.....well it has to be done doesn't it lol!!  :o))

We had a fab night!  Here's my card...

A close up of Wild Rose Studios 'Grandad Relaxing'.  I tried to make it look like he's sitting in his front room (not that my Mum and Dad's front room is green mind you!) so I added a little piccie of me and Dad on the 'wall'.  It was taken when we had a family holiday to Paris!...

Oops, just realised I didn't doodle the inside of the card, doh!

Sketch Saturday.....on a Sunday - Doh!

Evening All!!

I know, I know, I'm absolutely rubbish and posting so very late - sorry everyone!  I've had such a manic week, so much so that I woke up today with a massive head ache and sore throat  :o(  But I'm not going to go on about that (copious amounts of pain relief have numbed the affected areas!) but instead I want to tell you all about yesterday!!  Yes it was the Lisa B Designs Paper-Crafting event and my first ever go at demoing!!  Gosh I was sooooooo nervous but it went really well and after about an hour I was well away chatting for England, lol!  I absolutely LOVED every second of it, if only 'normal work' was as fun!!  I was demoing the new Spectrum Noir pens - have you seen them yet?  I have to be honest.....I think they're totally fab and if I hadn't already spent a small mortgage on copics I would most definitely be investing in them!  They blend so well and the reds don't bleed, they're re-fillable too and really comfy to work with.  I had SO MUCH FUN!!  And I got to meet Karen from My Crafty Cupboard who popped in to say Hi  :o)  So a MASSIVE, MASSIVE THANK YOU to Lisa for letting me be a demonstrator for the day and to all the lovely crafters who came and supported us, it was such a wonderful experience and an amazing day  :o))

Onto my card now and this is yesterday's Sketch Saturday DT card.  What do you think?...

Lisa B Designs meets Sketch Saturday.....again!

Morning All!

I'm so sorry I haven't posted any cards since Monday - where has this week gone?!  Real life can really get in the way sometimes when all you want to do is sit down and play in the craft room ay, lol!

So, my interview.....didn't go too well!  The job they advertised in the job spec sounded completely different to the job they described in the interview, so it felt like it was all a bit of a waste of time really  :o(  One of my old work colleagues also had an interview and we both thought the same.  I haven't heard back from them yet, but I'd be absolutely amazed if I got the job!  But at least I've had an interview now, and the next one can't be anywhere as bad as this one was, lol!

My card today is my DT card for Sketch Saturday, I really enjoyed making this one - thanks Jo for such a fab sketch!  It's also another Lisa B Designs DT card and all the ingredients were from her shop (on-line very soon!!).  Here's my card...

We're off out tonight to the B Festival which the farmers that own hubby's workshop hold each year.  It's quite a big event and they have tribute acts performing, but they're absolutely brilliant!!  Tonight the line up consists of Fleetwood Bac, Cool as the Gang, Gagaga and Kingso Fleon so should be another top night.....hopefully it won't rain!

I hope you all have fun weekends, whatever you're up too and I promise next week I'll be a better blogger!!

Lisa B Designs meets Sketch Saturday!

Hiya!

Happy Saturday people!!  Wahoo, the sun is shining and it's the start of the weekend  :o))  I know every day is like a weekend for me at the moment but I do feel different on a Saturday and Sunday, nuts ay, lol!

Sorry I'm a bit late with my post this morning, I ordered a new pair of shoes yesterday ready for my interview on Monday.  They arrived this morning so I've been trying on some of my old work gear with them.  They're soooooo comfy, not too high either (I don't do heels, I fall over enough in flats, lol!) and I'm really, really pleased with them  :o)  So I'm all set to go now, well, I've got some preparation to do tomorrow and paperwork but I know what I'm wearing and feel good in it!  Really hoping I get this job (never thought I'd say that about work lol!) but it's been on my mind a lot this past week and it would be lovely to not worry about the pennies, especially as there seems to be loads of crafty goodies and clothes that I really desperately neeeeeeeeeed!!  Fingers crossed!!...

Onto my card and this one is a DT Sample card I made for Lisa B Designs using this weeks sketch over at Sketch Saturday.  Lisa is busy getting her website up and running and will be opening her craft shop on-line too (yayyyy!).  But until then (and if you're in the area!) Lisa is holding a Paper-Crafting Event in Fant Hall, Barming, Maidstone on Saturday 23rd July from 10am - 4pm.  You can browse (and purchase!) from the shop (cash only as Lisa doesn't have a card machine yet) and there will be 4 demonstrators too ~ Lisa herself, Rosemary, Caroline and.....me!  Something else I'm getting nervous about but very excited too, lol!

So pop along if you can  :o))  Here's my card...

Close up of Wild Rose Studio 'Milton with Teddy', aren't they totally cute!!...

And a side view...

Here's this week's sketch, I've flipped it!!...

And this week over at Sketch Saturday we're sponsored by...

Simon Says Stamp and they're giving the lucky winner a huge $25.00 gift voucher to spend in their store!!  Wow, such an amazing prize...

So head over to have a play too, it's a fab sketch isn't it!  :o)

Right, think I've gone on enough now, I'm off to catch up on all your blogs.....and of course watch the Bond film that's on this afternoon, happy days!
